On a vehicle with air suspension, the strut combines a damper with an air spring: a rubber bellows filled with compressed air carries the vehicle’s weight instead of a coil spring, and the system adjusts ride height by changing the air pressure.
ZEIK air suspension struts are supplied as complete units. The damper, the air spring bellows and the mounting come assembled, so the strut is fitted in place of the original without transferring components from the old part.
